May 7: Sitting on the deck of the bay, overlooking
the Puget Sound with Whidbey Island in the background. Hoping for a whale
sighting, but content to simply follow barrages (off to Dillingham perhaps?),
fishing boats, super yachts and the odd sail boat – I am staying with good
friends in their wonderful home after too many years of not being able to see
them: time, distance and schedules at cross-purposes. I have truly “arrived”.
